For the record…beans TOTALLY burn in the kitchen

Sherman Hemsley dies at 74

Why is it that 74 seems young in this context, but I’m half that, and feel old? #deepthoughtswithDawnSummers

Wow! I love this post, it’s so great.

74 seems young to me too, esp. since my parents are cropping in age.

I hadn’t realized until a few years ago (when Isabel Sanford died) just how young Hemsley was when the Jeffersons started (still in his 30’s and only ten or so years older than the actor who played his son). Given how he looked the same for so long, I was also expecting him to go the Dick Clark undead route.

He is totally like Dick Clark!

Ugh. Beans don’t burn in the kitchen when you are rich and have someone else taking care of that shit while you live the high life.

Also, the beans were on the grill. Which I never understood.

Well, like in a pot, sitting on the grill.
