This isn’t the blog comments, but did you see my twitter about young Zac Effron (as a young Simon) on Firefly? I’m almost afraid for you to watch that episode! #happyalmostbirthday

hahah I did see the whole Firefly show, but it was before I knew who Zac Efron was. So I probably should rent the dvds again.

It’s on Netflix available to stream and the episode is called “Safe,” he is right at the beginning. I’m introducing Firefly to Peter, so I’m re-watching them and loving every minute of it.

But why introduce him to the awesome knowing there is no more?!

I know..that was the dilemma….so I prepared him a lot, I was like – this going to be awesome but then you will curse the powers at Fox and cry like a little baby because Mel and the rest of the crew is not there to tuck you in with his AWESOME. #shakesfist

It’s Fox’s fault for failing to recognize that Joss Whedon is a niche market whose fans, while devoted, don’t exist in large enough numbers to carry a network show. Of course, Whedon knew this better than anyone, but hey, Fox pays better than the Sci-Fi channel. (Whether twelve episodes on Fox pays better than five or six seasons on Sci-Fi is a question for the show business accountants.)
But after you watch the show and the movie, you can follow up with the Halloween episode of Castle where Nathan Fillion puts on the Mal costume. It’s kind of closure, in a way.

hahahahaha I love Castle!

So, is this post kind of like in the old days when you were hoping for a phone call, and you’d dial the operator and ask her to call back on your phone and make sure it was working properly, because you think maybe your calls aren’t getting through?

Why do I always write Mel when I mean Mal. I should just say Captain Reynolds.
I think the show would have been a hit if it was shown in order and not switching episodes out of order.
I started watching Castle and then stopped, I find the lady detective can’t act for shit and so annoying.
