Hot Tub Time Machine
If you ever wore neon colored leg warmers, you will love this movie!
I can’t believe I forgot to write it up in my May review. I saw it in the theater with Kaz and Tito (who are engaged! To each other! Congrats -Ed.) Oh, wait, and maybe F-train, but he ran off for a date with some dude after, so I forgot. Anyway, we all braced ourselves for the worst. I mean, it’s a hot tub! Time machine! But the movie didn’t deliver!
It’s your typical buddy comedy, four guys – one the teenage nephew of John Cusak – and they travel back to one fateful weekend in the eighties. The clothes, the music, THE HAIR!

Hilarious.
It wasn’t even all that heavy on the gross out, bathroom/sex humor.
I think you’ve gotta wait for the DVD now, but when it comes out, definitely rent it!
And that is this Thursday’s feel good movie! Where has Tae been BTW?
UPDATE. You get an extra post within a post because my Westlaw is down and I can’t do my work. Plus, Ftrain reminded me of something: So, after the movie, Kaz and Tito are all “want to make key lime pie”? And I’m all “Hell yeah! Especially if by ‘make’ you mean sit on the couch watching youtube videos whilst it is made for me.”
Terms were agreed to, we even made a stop at Trader Joe’s where we ran into Howard (one of Kaz’s Dork DJ buddies.) I told him about pie and insisted that he come!
So we had a whole pie making party and Tito and Kaz one quarter of the way wrote me a song. I learned to play the guitar (I’m totes a natural and I’m awesome!) I took the leftover pie home and texted F-train about all the pie fun he had missed. He replied “save me a piece.”
Oh, how I laughed and laughed.
“Save”?
“Pie”?
FOR F-TRAIN??? HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
Ah, good times.

What date did you run off to afterwards? None? That’s what I thought.

I loved this movie too. Rob Corddry was hilarious. I saw him once on a street in midtown and had to resist the urge to run up and throw myself on him.
Hmm…when am I ever going to be able to sample Tito and Kaz’ world famous Key Lime Pie?

I thought it was awesome too, esp. “I want my two dollars back” and the crazy cameo.

“Hey, I know that squirrel!”
This movie is awesome. My most favorite that I’ve seen in a very long time. Sure, I watched it while swigging rum and coke but if I had seen it sober I know I still would have loved it.

hahaha I confirm that! I was sober and loved it! I tweeted to john cusack that the kid who played the 80s him was not as hot as he was in the 80s. He did not respond. #rude
