Birthers now demand to see the President’s penis
Certified copies of President Obama’s birth certificate, testimony from the Governor of Hawaii and even newspaper clippings from the time, are not enough to convince the fringe right that the President is American, now they want to see his penis.
Birthers get to see the President’s penis? Uh…um…bring the kenyan Muslim devil to me! Also, I believe the Indonesian communists implanted wiretaps in his chest, and thus, I will have to hand inspect those pecs! What? It’s cool, I’m already engaged to Zac Efron, the whole thing is totally above board. Just my patriotic duty and all.

Well, there is certainly overlap, but only on the republican side — the percentages of truthers in the democratic party is pretty close to the percentage of birthers in the republican party — difference is, of course, that there are also truthers who are republicans, while there are very few birthers who are democrats

Alceste, the birther movement started from a disaffected Democrat Phil Berg, so there are plenty of birther Democrats, they just don’t get interviewed by CNN.
There are crazy people on both sides, I don’t really buy the analysis on the second article you linked because well to me George Bush “knowing” about the attacks is different from him masterminding the attack. The question itself is vague & misleading. I can see how some people might think the administration knew about the threat and chose to ignore it. But that’s not the same as blowing up the world trade center.
Also when did the blog become X rated? I remember when it was wee PG blog.

I agree with PDov — I think Bush “knew” (or should have known) about the attacks in advance in the sense that he had the that “Bin Laden plans to attack in the US” report. I don’t think he *planned* the attacks, though.
