One more Dorothy Parker poem…cause it’s my blog
Fighting Words
Say my love is easy had,
Say I’m bitten raw with pride,
Say I am too often sad —
Still behold me at your side.
Say I’m neither brave nor young,
Say I woo and coddle care,
Say the devil touched my tongue —
Still you have my heart to wear.
But say my verses do not scan,
And I get me another man!
How much arse does she kick? (And yes, that’s how I feel about my blog. S. Blogs. And twitterfeed. And facebook statuses. You have problems. YOU HAVE PROBLEMS!)

Isn’t there supposed to be someone in your office making sure you don’t post to the blog or twitter? Worst job performance ever…

This post looks lonely with no comments.
Is it sad or awesome that I’m now checking Clareified almost as much as twitter? Because we all know that’s a helluva lot.

IT’S AWESOME! Did you like this poem?

Yeah I loved it.
Not only because I really enjoy the phrase “do not scan,” first stolen by me from Brian Cox’s character in one of the Bourne movies: “This just does not scan, at all.” I know, totally random, but there you go.
p.s. I actually have an anthology of Dorothy Parker stuff that I picked up at a library book sale a year or so ago. I fully intend to actually read it after the Parker 101 classes you’ve been conducting for me.

Alceste, shut it! It’s funny though, he sits directly across from me. So he can see my face (not eating) but cannot see my screen (tweeting.)
