Some single African-American women deal with another challenge: criticism for bringing another African-American child into a single-parent household.
The criticism is that they are giving the child one MORE parent than (s)he would otherwise have?

Same with the rationale behind the “a child needs a mom *and* a dad” opposition to gay adoption.
OK, even if we accept that premise, this is still a big improvement on bouncing from foster home to foster home; it’s not like single woman and gay couples are cutting ahead in line or something.

Morrisey wants to be married, but says she’d rather become a mother now and wait for God to guide her to the right man.
Yeah, and when God guides her to the right man he’s gonna say “I think you’re great and all, but I really want to find someone who doesn’t already have children.”

My favorite part was the lady whose boyfriend volunteered to knock her up, but wasn’t “ready for marriage.” She was all “thanks, but no thanks.”

Well, that seems rational — maybe better no dad, than a crappy dad. He sounded like an ass.

Obvi. And as I learned yesterday having a nice ass is a good quality in a man, being an ass, less so.

He didn’t offer to knock her up. Donating sperm is “offering to knock her up.”
He offered to fuck her until she got pregnant.
