Stop it, both of you, right now. This could be the year!!
Besides, even if McCain were to win here, however much we narrow the margin is a victory. Make him spend money here. (He is, by the way, running commercials.)

i’ve been having nightmares about that woman in the polling place: “so you want to vote for mccain, right? MCCAIN? I’M CHECKING THE BOX FOR MCCAIN”

Yesterday a Phoenix native and current resident told me that Arizona IS a swing state, although most people don’t believe it.

If McCain loses Arizona even Mondale will laugh his ass off.

It really is a swing state! It went for Clinton in 2004, and has lots of democratic local officials, democratic governor, etc.
The national party never spends any money here, though, so not surprisingly, the national offices tend to swing republican.
