Not so random question
Why are the “original mavericks” the only ones taking taxpayer money to fund their run for the White House. Thought they hated earmarks and squandering the people’s money on foolish enterprises? Oops, that’s two not so random questions.

Obama and McCain agreed to only take tax-payer money for their campaigns. Obama broke his promise. McCain did not.
Funny thing is that McCain will have more money than Obama. Obama is spending so much money raising money that his campaign is short of funds. Plus Obama has a staff of 2500. McCain has a staff of 800.
You should send money to Obama so that he can pay the 1700 excess staff. I am sure they are the reason Obama is ahead in the polls.

Sigh. I’m with Karol on this one. Public financing is the maverick move.
Of course, letting the RNC spend a gazillion soft-money dollars on lies, distortions and smears on your behalf is less of a maverick move and the king of Campaign Finance Reform no problem with that at all.
The real maverick move is being willing to trade a lifetime of integrity and moving personal narrative for a win-at-all-costs presidential campaign in which one’s compelling narrative is a stage prop instead of a meaningful personal motivation.

Obama is a liar and raising $66 mil in August? Fine. Mazel tov. But I don’t want to hear about those poor folks now that they all had so much to donate to that fool. They could have donated it to Texas but I guess the Messiah needed some lunch money.

this is why democrats always lose…blah blah blah fair, we should be running ads everyday that say you are paying for palin/mccain to run for office and then over pictures of a homeless veteran in ohio. and when i blog about how mccain’s latest ad calling obama “disrepectful” of sarah palin is classic racist thinking that a black man must be deferential to a white woman, i dont wanna hear any “logic” from you.
