RNC
Crazy day today, unwound to the dulcet sounds of the RNC.
Huckabee was fantastic. (Though his line that he’s tired of hearing how Sarak Palin isn’t qualified because she got more votes as Mayor of her town than Biden got for President is weird…so does that mean the fact that Obama got more votes for President than McCain did for Senate means he gets the ring to lord over them all? I hope so.) Anyway, he was funny and moving and dude, what were you guys thinking not making him your nominee…
Romney looked lost and sounded lost. Good job not picking him for Veep, McCain. He’s a dud.
Interestingly, this morning I saw a disturbing interview with Geraldine Ferraro where she was near fawning over Sarah Palin and not only did not say she was voting for Barack Obama, but intimated that electing Palin to the vice presidency was the historic moment America has just been waiting for since 1984. Guess she wasn’t in it for Hillary, she was in it for her own redemption. Shameful. Thankfully, it looks like she’s alone. ish.
Ah, Rudy as attack dog. I remember this. I like that he repeats Fred Thompson’s line that Barack Obama is the least qualified person to run for President. Even less qualified than Nader or LaRouche I presume. It’s weird how in the resumes of the two men, Rudy glossed over the one candidate who was tested by war, returned to the U.S. cheated on his wife, dumped his family and then took a cushy job with his new younger, richer wife’s daddy. I also find the “anti-elitism” theory odd. Much like the anti-wealth screed of some DNC speakers who would say things like “if you want seven houses, vote for Jogn McCain,” I want seven houses. I also think most Americans would love for their kids to get Ivy League educations, we make more money on average, have better jobs and longer lifespans. Okay, I made that last one up, but the rest is true.
TODD PALIN BEATS HIS DOWN SYNDROME BABY!
Why are they chanting “Say-rah” when “Pay-lin Pay-lin Pay-lin Pay-lin” is so much catchier? Stupid Republicans.
Hold up…I thought the kids were off limits. Why is she blah blah blahing about special needs and Track deploying to Iraq?
“This is America” – Sarah Palin. See? She’s got the knowledge and experience to be Vice-President. Elite liberal media.
Oooh, buurn — Palin’s line about talking differently in Scranton than in San Francisco was killer.
Is she making jokes about laying people off. Nice.
Talking energy is Palin’s wheelhouse…she’s hit her stride and looks in control.
“Written two memoirs, but not a single piece of legislation.” — Ouchie, Buurrnn.
Gauntlet? Thrown. Game? On. Palin hit it out of the park. She did what she needed to do and sanks God…I was getting worried that she was going to be pulled off the ticket and I still think having a novelty candidate on the Republican ticket helps diffuse the “chance taking” feeling about voting for Obama. I’m still worried about the vice presidential debate…Palin can be nasty, so Biden’s going to have to fight, but God help him if he pulls a Lazio. Yikes. Of course, the knowledge that McCain has to face Obama three times gives me hope. And change.
Ooof, again…McCain needs to avoid appearing on stage with Palin and her brood…he looks like that scary great grand dad that everyone is waiting to kick off in hopes that they’re in his will…sorta like how I imagine casca.

Todd Palin beats his d.s. baby? Uhm? So, is it hard to type whilst being smothered by a slug?

I think I love her so what was I so afraid of?

Are we both live-blogging this or just commenting on each other’s live-blogs?

She. Rocks. I take back everything I’ve thought in the last few days.

She did look pretty. I didn’t pay much attention to what she said.
If I were Ferarro, I would be flipping the Dems the bird right about now too.

Ferraro is not alone. There are millions of us who will switch away from the gimmick candidate and the old Delaware shark.
Hillary could have won the general election, but she got ripped off.
Obama is going to lose big – somewhere around 295 electoral votes to 240. You are right about Hucakbee being good. And Rudy was awesome. Obama may have gone to Haarvaard, but Giuliani would mop the floor in a trial against him. Hillary vs. Giuliani in a VP debate would have been something to see!!

Great Grandpa eh, lol, I have yet to go grey. Hell, if you’d have started screwing when you were still fertile, you’d have grown children now too.
Obama is a rube in the political game. He stopped to kick a barking dog, that he didn’t need to, and now she’s outside of the tent pissing in.

Go figure, Casca and I agree about something.

See? And you want to silence him.

Turn toward the light, Pear.
