NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Why is Barack Obama lowering himself to be compared to Sarah Palin????

In an interview on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 Monday night, Obama was asked about whether his experience in the U.S. Senate dealing with weather-related situations compares to Palin’s executive experience running the state of Alaska and as the small town mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

“My understanding is that Gov. Palin’s town, Wassilla, has I think 50 employees. We’ve got 2500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe 12 million dollars a year – we have a budget of about three times that just for the month,” Obama responded.

The correct answer in the future should always be “the question Anderson Cooper is whether my judgment is better than John McCain’s and I think it is. McCain was wrong about Iraq, he’s wrong about social security and he is out of touch with regular Americans. As for Sarah Palin, I wish her well, but I’d take my Vice presidential candidate, Joe Biden, every day and twice on Sunday.” Obama loses anytime he or his surrogates even dignify the Palin comparison with an answer? Obama won a hard fought primary campaign to get where he is, Palin was plucked from the ether by McCain. She has to defend her readiness to lead, not Obama.

Grr. Stupid Democrats.

LMAO, because he’s a doofus, doofus.

    No Way, No How, Nobama!

  2. Casca Says:

And it’s really hard to think without that teleprompter.

  3. Karol Says:

I like the part where he admits his only experience to be president has been running for president.

  4. Jake Says:

His campaign management isn’t that great. He lost the big states that had a regular election. He was only good at getting the wackos and the hysterical to turn out for the caucuses.

    You mean the red states?

  6. Jake Says:

This is the comparison that will be made daily from now to the election.

Obama swam in the sea of corruption that is the Chicago political machine. He benefited both financially and politically from that corruption. He did nothing to change or reform it.

Palin who encountered the same sort of corruption in her state, risked her political career to expose and reform that corruption. She succeeded in her quest.

She gave hope and change to the citizens of her state. Obama gave the finger to the people he represented.

I do agree that the press and pundits will try to make this comparison, which is why it disturbs me that Obama is so slow to figure out how to handle it. Sigh.
As for Palin, she supported the bridge to nowhere and is currently under investigation for scandal and corruption of her own.

  8. Casca Says:

You’re an idiot. She shot down the bridge to nowhere, and told the feds to keep the money.

  9. Dawn Summers Says:

I told Congress, ‘Thanks, but no thanks,’ on that bridge to nowhere,” Palin said Friday in Ohio, using the critics’ dismissive name of the project. “‘If our state wanted a bridge,’ I said, ‘we’d build it ourselves.’”

While running for governor in 2006, though, Palin backed federal funding for the infamous bridge, which McCain helped make a symbol of pork barrel excess.

It’s okay casca, McCain doesn’t know anything about her either.

  10. Casca Says:

WTF, I know you have a problem with reason, but the woman shot it down. How do you not understand that?

  11. Charles Says:

She shot it down once it became politically unpopular. How brave!

  12. Charles Says:

Also, have you ever seen a better place to get “executive experience” than this?

  13. Eric Says:

I think the problem is when you compare his postage-stamp-sized resume (just what is a “community activist”, anyway?) to McCain’s, he comes up so obviously short it’s embarrassing. So he’s got to compare himself to Palin, where he doesn’t come off toooo bad as long as he can keep repeating she was a mayor and people forget the governor part.
