Where does the good go

You heard it here first!

Obama will make an historic choice for VP!

Washington – Democratic White House hopeful Barack Obama said on Sunday that he will pick a vice presidential running mate who will “help me govern” and not just somebody “who I send off to go to funerals”.

Obama, in an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press, said his vice presidential choice would be “somebody who can help me govern, who I can work with, who has a shared vision”.

“I’m not interested in a vice president who I send off to go to funerals,” he said. “I want somebody who is going to roll up their sleeves and be willing to work.”

There’s only one person who fits the bill. One person who will be as dynamic, hot and magical enough to balance that ticket…

Barack Obama!

Imagine it, TWO Obamas for the price of one. Obama/Obama ’08!

    Dick Cheney!

Dammit! I was all set to say Dick Cheney and Ken beat me to the punch. That’s what I get for sleeping ’till noon.

You know that he wants to pick Karol.

He’s just afraid that she’ll be blunt and honest during her press conferences.

  4. Karol Says:

Nah, he just knows I want to be sent off to funerals and not do any real work.

He misused “who” twice in those two sentences.; it should be “whom” for “I send off” and “I can work with”. That’s become a total pet peeve of mine. Talk about distractions that divide us. If Karol’s not interested, he should pick a high school English teacher.

Yaron, maybe one person in ten can use “who” and “whom” properly. You must live a peeved life.

I too love a proper use of whom. But properly using “whom” alienates more people than it endears you to. Obama probably has a grammar coach who advised him on how to speak to “the people.” So you see, this “mis-”use of “who” just proves how really smart he is.
