Song of the time until my blog gets fixed

By the way, I’ve gotten a new ipod and ditched all my old music…starting over as it were. So far I’ve got a bunch of Dandy Warhols from Dawn 2 and Alceste for my birthday, the Pretenders, The Donnas and Miley Cyrus because well, I’m still me. Any other suggestions for my new, improved ipod…which also doesn’t have a name yet…It’s sleek and black and plays video, as well as music. Leave your suggestions in the comment section if and when it starts working again. Enjoy the weekend.

    Check out Sean Kingston

I’ve got about 1200 cds but they’re mostly indie/alternative/progressive/rock/electronic/ambient genres. If there’s any artists in these genres that you’re looking for and I have the cds, you’re most welcome to borrow them.

You know, I was listening to Sound System a while back and was surprised by how much Herbie Hancock anticipated the stuff you hear today, although most of it is total and utter crap, see Radiohead, while Herbie actually had talent as a writer/musician.

I’m tempted to recommend some songs by artists that I like, e.g. Steve Goodman, Iris DeMent, Dar Williams, Suzanne Vega, Richard Thompson, but the last time I suggested folk music to a friend I received the written equivalent of derisive laughter in return.

    How about Syreeta?

Or, one of my favorites, “Connect,” by DJ Hurricane, Xzibit et. al?

It’s very good motivational prompt when it comes to networking.
