The IC says stock usually goes up after layoffs so I’d only be right about the business going south, not specifically the stock.

These shutdowns are unrelated. The calorie posting thing was a New York City ordinance and the shutdowns of the Starbux stores will be done nationwide. When the final list comes out, I’d be surprised if even 5% of the stores are within the area affected by the calorie posting.
