That was pretty good. The significance of Russert’s passing is that he is the last of the common sense democrats. Oh, you could say Lieberman is still alive, but he ran as an independent last cycle, remember? Yes, common sense is dead in the party of the left. Fear not, McCain would have been a democrat forty years ago, but not thirty-five. Alas, there is no Republican candidate.
