Not so random question

What’s the best way to tell someone something that they don’t want to hear? So far I’ve got: hemming and hawing, with deep sighs, so that when they find out later, I can be all ‘well, remember that day with the hemming and hawing? Yeah, I tried to tell you.’

Guess it depends if it is something they really *need* to hear, or if it is just something you want them to hear? Everyone needs to make their own mistakes, and sometimes we find out it wasn’t a mistake at all. Sometimes they learn something. But if they are about to jump off a roof into the great abyss and really hurt themselves, then it’s worth a try to stop a really really big mistake from happening. “I told you so” isn’t always all it’s cracked up to be.

Let me put tae in guy terminology. Are we talking halitosis, or his girlfriend whored herself out for twenty bucks to get across the river?

  3. tae Says:

Halitosis, tell them right away. Girlfriend whored herself, I ain’t saying nothing.

Oh, wait, I mean I ain’t saying something? Uh, I trapped myself in a double-negative and I can’t get out!
