Honda guy: Your front struts are leaking like crazy. They need to be replaced, but we don’t have the parts in stock right now.
Me: Can I drive without them?
HG: Um…they hold the wheels to your car.
Me: Hmm…so that’s a no?

    Did you notice a difference in handling of the vehicle? They’re not going to break and leave you stranded. Get on the phone and shop for price and quality. Struts are one of the things that you probably don’t want to have done at a dealership. If you drive for 10,000 miles on them, they could wear your tires improperly, that’s the downside.

    Especially for purposes of going to AC. I mean we got hit by a truck once on the way to AC and she didn’t stop.
