Well, healthcare isn’t really a crisis. That is being made up by the left and the media. It affects a smaller percentage of the American public that most people are led to believe. Unemployment is still lower than the Clinton years. The dollar is being bounced around. I can give you that. But you name me the Clinton policies that caused the success during his terms. Name them. You cannot because the success the economy had during the 90s had nothing to do with him. It is this little thing called the internet. A major change in the way people were able to communicate- and thus do business- ala the radio and the car. Nothing to do with Clinton unless you want to count the stock market bubble burst or Al Gore inventing it.

This is fascinating, thank you. I believe if more Democrats start to regard Obama as you do and he is stumbling vs. McCain come convention time, the delegates will nominate Hillary even if Obama has a majority of the pledged delegates. They are not bound on the first ballot.

so you actually think that Hillary has a better chance in the general than Obama. And, you think that Obama has no substance to his rhetoric.

I’ll address the second issue first. Go read his website! Yes, Hillary has more meat regarding facts and figures but so did Bill Clinton when he wrote his book on policy. And, let me tell you he did not achieve every thing that he wanted. Why? I think the partisan nature of Washington had something to do with that. Obama shows an ability to bridge partisanship as demonstrated by his track record in Illinois.

Now, to deal with your other ascertion that Hillary is a better candidate. Contrary to popular belief she did not have a tough election campaign in New York after Rudy Giulianni dropped out of the race. And the second time she ran as an incumbent in a liberal state. In both races she had an advantage.

So how do people come to the conclusion that she has been truly tested.
Also, let’s not forget the Republican withering that this woman has endured over the years that has produced high negatives for her. How do you propose she will overcome that. And, what is her strategy for courting Independents and Republicans to give her a chance in the general?

When people attack Obama for his inspirational rhetoric I have to marvel. Every good campaigner knows that if you want to truly motivate people to vote you have to either scare them or inspire them. George Bush scared us and Obama is inspiring us. I welcome the change.

Really?

I see it as exactly the opposite. I’ve been annoying Karol by calling McCain/Obama “Dole/Clinton II: Electric Boogaloo”. It’s an old GOP dude who is a carbon copy of the previous president taking on a charismatic, young Democrat who is energizing the voting population.

I’ll be astonished if Hillary wins the Dem nomination at this point, simply because Obama is getting people out to vote. She could still win, but I think if she does she’ll have to use her superdelegates to pull it off and if that goes against the popular vote a whole bunch of Democrats will look really dumb since they complained about how the 2000 election went down.
