Poetry Thursday
If there is something to desire, there is something to regret
If there is something to regret, there is something to recall
If there is something to recall, there is nothing to regret
If there is nothing to regret, there was nothing to desire

I googled that poem, because I’d been thinking of putting it on my blog, since I’d seen it on the subway, but I find that it’s all over the place. But it’s really lovely. Thanks for posting it.

great poem! i, too, read it on the subway. however, that’s the incorrect author. also, the punctuation and lineage are a bit off. any thoughts on the poem? i find, in your version, the third line to be very perplexing and disputing the second line. thanks for posting!
