Waaa
My computer is saying it no longer recognizes my digital camera and wont download the pictures from it…any ideas about ways to fix this that doesn’t involve spending another $600 on a new camera. Recently someone borrowed my camera and hooked it up to all sorts of other computers.
UPDATE
In an effort to download my pictures in the interim, I put the memory card into my Treo and now the Treo is unable to sync with the computer.
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it well…once, maybe more, but boy is this the worst birthday season ever. Ever.

Have you hit it with a hammer?

If you put the memory card into your Treo, that means you have these pictures on an SD card, right? Go to Office Depot or Staples or some such, and buy a cheap USB adapter for SD cards. Should cost between $10 and $20. Plug the SD card into the adapter, plug the adapter into a USB port, and you’ll see the SD card as if it were another drive on your PC. Your pictures will be on there, and you can copy them to your PC’s hard drive just like you’d copy files from a CD-ROM.
All this assumes, of course, that the SD card isn’t messed up, but if it isn’t, this approach eliminates factors that might be causing you a problem.

Hmm. If the card screwed up the camera and the treo, I’m thinking that it is the card. Then again, I can spend hours looking for the on/off switch on a printer.
