Elizabeth Edwards has cancer

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007 by Dawn Summers

Elizabeth Edwards said she was fortunate that she felt pain from a cracked rib and got X-rays that revealed the cancer.

Dr. Lisa Carey, the oncologist treating Elizabeth Edwards, categorized the cancer as metastatic Stage 4 cancer, which is largely confined to the bones. She said the prognosis was good.

Talk about finding the silver lining to having a cracked rib…

Deep thought of the day

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007 by Dawn Summers

As my free time becomes more scarce I find myself being judicious as to whom I am willing to spend my time. Asshats and douchebags are out. I just don’t have the time. Not only that, I look back at high school and college, at that list(s) of names and think about the time I wasted trying to “be friends” with bad people, people who I really don’t care about now and only cared about then for bad reasons.

Life is precious. Don’t waste your time on the undeserving.

That Chilly is a genuis.

Change…for lack of a better word…

Is sometimes not the worst.

I’m really liking the ipod Nano. I was afraid that I would somehow end up crushing its tininess in my giant palm or that I would accidentally swallow it and not notice. But the truth is, the thing is so light that the earphones actually keep it secured.

My computer chose which songs to upload into the Nano…not sure what its criteria was, but it did an ok job…there is no Paul Simon or Beyonce anywhere, but plenty of Clay Aiken and Eminem. So, we’ll have to tinker a bit, but I’m probably not going to get a new full sized ipod.

Plus, Poddy has come back to life somewhat. I’m not sure how reliable he’ll be… some of the playlists and saved songs are gone…but he’s not flashing that broken folder icon anymore, so, somewhat back.

i.e….remember when Gage came back in Pet Semetary? Yeah…shudder.
