Be a Republican, Be a Republican, Be a Republi…crap

New York State Sen. Carl Kruger says three pedestrians in his Brooklyn district have been killed since September upon stepping into traffic while distracted by an electronic device. In one case bystanders screamed “watch out” to no avail.

Kruger says he will introduce legislation on Wednesday to ban the use of gadgets such as Blackberry devices and video games while crossing the street.

Banning ipods??! What the hell? It’s not like blackberries are as deadly as cigarettes, online poker and transfat.

Sheesh. A modicum of rational thought here people.

    If the legislators want to save lives they should ban chewing gum. 1000 times more people are killed while chewing gum than people who listen to Ipods.

    Actually, it’s that whole crossing streets thing. There oughtta be a law.
