Lazy blogging
I’m trying to put together an inspirational playlist…or a playlist of inspirational songs, more accurately.
So far I’ve got
Don’t rain on my parade -streisand
I believe I can fly - R.
Greatest Love of All -houston
Star Spangled Banner - houston
Find Your Grail -spamalot
I made it through the rain -manilow
Any other suggestions?

Please, oh lord, this holiday season grant me this: let me not be in the car when she decides to give the inspirational playlist a whirl.

Crazy - P. Cline
It ought to be your theme song.

“Happy Days Are Here Again,” “High Hopes” — those were campaign theme songs for FDR and JFK respectively. I’m surprised you didn’t come up with those. Oh, and “Don’t Stop Thinkin’ about Tomorrow” — Slick Willy’s tune. (If you really want to torment Karol.) Then there’s the “Tomorrow” from Annie. “New York, New York,” “My Way,” by Sinatra.

Ha ha, Karol made me laugh. I concur I wouldn’t want to be in that car. You should add Girl Put Your Records On by Corinne Rae somethin. You know, something MODERN.

“Don’t Stop Believin’” - Journey
“Broken Wings” - Mr. Mister
“Eye of the Tiger” - Survivor
“Do Whatcha Like” - Digital Underground
I’ll try to come up with some others, if you want.

ooh, eye of the tiger! good one! yes, definitely the more the merrier, trying to get up an unbeatable playlist to listen through tourneys with.

Against the Wind, & Survive (I prefer the Cake version over Donna Summer).
December 23rd, 2006 at 1:42 am
Casca: Is it possible you’re thinking of “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor?
Also, add Simple Minds’ “Alive And Kicking.”
December 23rd, 2006 at 4:03 am
heh. sort of a different angle, but how about billy bragg’s great leap forward?
