Ann Richards dies of cancer.
Former Texas Gov. Ann Richards, whose brassy, tough-talking persona and trademark white hair cut an indelible profile in Democratic politics, died Wednesday evening at her home in Austin, surrounded by her family, her spokesman, Bill Maddox said.

I love her! Despite losing an election in Texas after vetoing and trying to take away the right of every god fearing texan to use their “cop killer” bullets clearly provided for in the Second Amendment (If you look at original intent, the framers actually stated “cop killer” bullets), she was a silver bullet herself. I read today that after losing she took comfort in her popularity . . . that made me smile. I’ll never forget, “A woman’s place is in the Dome” or her Dorito commercial.
