Time and time again, history teaches us this: War is the answer.
And say what you will about the two most famous pacifists… it wasn’t MKL’s passivism that changed the hearts and minds of congress. What inspired them? The site of a million black people marching through the streets as one. I’m sure they didn’t think, “Why, heck. That’s inspiring. Why can’t we all get along.” It was probably more like “Oh shit, better make concessions now before things get really ugly.”
