I really had high hopes at the end of last season, that the show would take a different direction, with Jack on the lam. Kind of like a Fugitive storyline (the tv show, not the movie Fugitive), without all that CTU interoffice conflict bullsht. Jack would meet different people in distress each week and do good deeds, all the while managing to stay one step ahead of the marshal, and the Chinese. Every now and then he'd end up in bed with some double-agent who betrays him. That or a roller-skating babe. (No, that would be too much like CHiPs.) But instead we get more incompetent CTU leaders, more unfulfilled sexual tension between Edgar and Chloe (just do it already) and more annoying weaselly president Logan (whoshoul have gotten the Nixon part instead of Anthony Hopkins.
