Ari - it’s not you - perhaps they simply did not have WTBS in Brooklyn - otherwise, I am not sure how one could completely avoid the andy griffith show (and am I the only one who thinks of Mr. Roper instead of Mr. Furley when one thinks of annoying landlords on three’s company?)

Eh, Roper had his moments — but the Furley shirt collars put him over the top. Andy Griffith? You mean Matlock? Matlock was good. I liked the black guy detective they had. Wasn’t Opie the guy on Happy Days?

Ari - if Dawn ever actually moves into her new place and hosts “poker next to the balcony,” I promise that I will be whistling the theme to the andy griffith show and “doo dooing” the theme to My Three Sons every time Dawn is up to act…

And yet, the other two shows were on for several years after the munsters were canceled - for one who watches so much television, you have a truly odd background in 60’s television…

If you grew up in Phoenix: Andy Griffith, Channel 5, noon. Every day for at least 15 years. High point of summer vacation and sick days.

I have never, not once, watched the Andy Griffith show. I couldn’t pick Andy Griffith out of a line-up.
