Anybody else working late to avoid being annoyed by trick or treaters?
Huh. Is that the first step to curmudgeonhood or one of the middle steps?

In years past I’ve come up with reasons to be out of the house.. tonight I plan to just not answer the door if anyone comes, which is unlikely anyway.

Back in my day, we knew whether to knock on a door by whether they had Holloween decorations up. My parents wouldn’t let us knock on the others. It was like an unspoken agreement. Put up decorations, get kids knocking. Don’t, and you can spend a quiet evening watching reruns of L&O.
