TO BE FILED UNDER CRUISE, TOM CONTINUES TO LOSE PLOT
When Lauer mentioned Cruise’s earlier criticism of Brooke Shields for taking anti-depressants, Cruise told the ”Today” show co-host he didn’t know what he was talking about.
”You don’t know the history of psychiatry. I do,” Cruise said.
The interview became more heated when Lauer, who said he knew people who had been helped by the attention-deficit disorder drug Ritalin, asked Cruise about the effects of the drug.
”Matt, Matt, you don’t even — you’re glib,” Cruise responded. ”You don’t even know what Ritalin is. If you start talking about chemical imbalance, you have to evaluate and read the research papers on how they came up with these theories, Matt, OK. That’s what I’ve done.”

What an ass. I especially like where he says:
“Scientology is something that you don’t understand. It’s like you could be a Christian and be a Scientologist.”
But then quickly backtracks:
“It is a religion. Because it’s dealing with the spirit. You as a spiritual being. It gives you tools you can use to apply to your life.”
Cause, you know, wouldn’t want to lose that tax exempt status there.

Scientology is death on any drugs that affect the brain. You should give $50,000 to Scientology for training sessions that eliminate the need for drugs instead,

If I pretend I liked Battlefield Earth, do I get a discount?

Not everyone would take time out in between reviewing scripts and pretending to fall in love just to read studies on the side effects and efficacy of pharmaceuticals. Not everyone with a high school education is even capable of wading through medical/scientific papers.
Tom Cruise can do all of this because Scientology has cleared him. Stop hating on The Cruise.

Tom Cruise better resume taking his Lithium before he finds himself trying out for McDonalds commercials…….He clearly suffers from delusions of grandeur, elevated, expansile mood and feelings of invincibility so common in people who are in a manic phase. And yes, TC, I do know what I am talking about-not only did I go to college, I graduated with honors from Medical School…….

Funnny, thing was that i agreed with some of what tom said.
Basically, some drugs are over prescribed and that while they change the chemical balance of the brian, it does not solve the problem that gave you the chemical imbalance in the frist place.
Though I, prozac and other such drugs could be credited with the american increase in productivity, or at least some have suggested that.
But he does seem a bit out of control recently, i hope that he does not keep this up.
