BATEMAN BATMAN?

BATEMAN BATMAN?

Remember the first Batman? Not the Adam West TV Show — the cool, sleek, 1990s movie with Jack “wait’ll they get a load of me” Nicholson and Michael Keaton? It had that Prince song “Vi-vi-vicky vale” and the Seal song.

Man, that movie rocked.
I had a Batman T-Shirt with the Joker on it (always love the bad guy, I do) and Batman sunglasses. I saw the movie, like three times, in its first weekend in release.
But now, as if Alicia Silverstone was not insult enough to the franchise, they’ve put Patrick Bateman into the codpiece.

For shame.

What has he done besides that horrible chainsaw movie, anyway?

Bleech.

I thought he was terrific in “that horrible chainsaw movie” (which, by the way, was called American Psycho and was a decent interpretation of one of the finest works of modern fiction I have ever read. I think Bale is at least as likely a casting choice as Keaton, Kilmer or Clooney. And the Silverstone-O’Donnell-Thurman trifecta is hard to beat for sheer lack of acting ability.

Right- American Psycho, I was too lazy to go imdb him. That movie sucked. The book was great, though.

You should add Kilmer into the trifecta… but then it would have to be a quadfecta. What was the “Bush trifecta” that the President made up when questioned about the deficit spending? recission, war and what….

I am having serious train of thought problems today.

pretty sure it was something like recession, war or a national emergency. And Bush never said that (until later, when he claimed to have said it earlier). It was Gore.
